We are generally taught to be proud of those in uniform; cops, firefighters, military men. Yet as a whole these groups constantly fall short of deserving this praise (forgive me firefighters I truly enjoy you guys). Rape in military culture is not just sad it is disgusting. I am unsure as to why military men are thought to be the “best and bravest” of our civilization when they are constantly being charged with acts of cowardice. To follow in line and accept the flow of this behavior puts them on par with every other member of this civilization who has accepted rape culture as it is today with no hope for change. There are many men and women to be proud of in the military but they should all be ashamed of this situation .
